Sunday 5th November after lunch and clean-up (around  3:00 pm – please plan on staying for clean-up – we need your assistance)

Led By:

Seiho Chris Preist is a senior monk from the British Sangha.  He began practice with Nanshin Nancy Amphoux in 1989 and was ordained as a monk in 1992 by Shogen Jean Baby.  He is currently the committee chair of IZAUK.

Location:

Bilberry Hill Centre, Rose Hill, Lickey, Rednal, Birmingham, B45 8RT

The Bilberry Hill Centre is located on the outskirts of Birmingham, within walking distance of the delightful 500 acre Lickey Hills country park.  Being close (but not too close) to Britain’s central city makes it easily accessible for everyone.  There is a variety of accommodation at the centre, including some single rooms.

How to get there: The nearest train stations are Barnt Green and Longbridge.  Bus number 98 leaves every 15 to 30 minutes from Birmingham city centre stopping at Rednal, Local taxis are Roundabout Cars 0121 453 1313 and Gold’n’Black Taxis 0121 453 4949.

Bring:

Everything you need for zazen (a zafu, if you have one – and a bowl to eat from along with a spoon, a fork and a cloth to wrap them in) – Bring loose, dark-coloured clothing for zazen.

Friend of IZAUK: Recommended £135, Low-waged £110, Unwaged £85

Non-member: Recommended £150, Low-waged £125, Unwaged £95

You will receive a £5 discount if you send a £25 deposit with your booking slip (or online payment) if before 26th October.  Deposits are normally non-refundable.
