The Bristol Zen Dojo is the headquarters for IZAUK and provides a dedicated centre of Zen practice located on Gloucester Road.

We meet four times a week for Zazen (traditional Soto Zen meditation).

We offer weekly introductions, regular talks on Zen and Buddhism, an online sutra study group, special events, zen days with visiting teachers and sesshins (residential retreats).

Dojo-Live broadcasts

Those who live some distance from Bristol can participate in regular ‘sits’ online. The Dojo-Live web page contains links to advice and support materials for those practising at home.

We also relay the French-language Tenborin Zoom Zazen each Saturday morning, with translation into English of the teaching provided by Maitre Guy Mokuho Mercier, Abbot of La Gendronniere. For details, see the relevant Bristol web site page.
