The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into force in the UK on 25th May 2018. As part of our data compliance process here at International Zen Association UK (IZAUK), it is our obligation to formally request your consent for us to retain your personal data for ongoing services such as ensuring you are properly registered and billed for an IZAUK event which you have signed up for, as well as ensuring your messages to us are received and returned.
The details held on our system are name, address, telephone number, email address, IZAUK group membership, IZAUK membership status. In the case of event registration: your event tariff, arrival and departure details and any special considerations you have shared with us concerning your event attendance. In the case of our contact forms: any messages you have sent along with your name and email address. In the case of our mailing lists: your name and email address.
These details are only held on our website database until we are certain your concerns have been addressed and they are then deleted. In the case of emailing lists – email address and names are kept in the mailing list database if you are a member of IZAUK or have asked to be added and can be unsubscribed from at any time.
Once deleted from our database, your membership details are held by our membership secretary, your event registration details are held by our event organiser, and your messages are held by the person you messaged.
