Gassho - a gesture that expresses thankfulness, greeting, respect etc.

Innumerable labours brought us this website, we should know how it comes to us.

This website draws on many sources, and many people were helpful in its construction - many people will continue to be helpful in its maintenance - any list of acknowledgements is bound to miss somebody, but here's an effort to give credit where credit is due.

Pictures

Most of the line-drawing pictures used in this website are illustrations by Peter Watson from the book "Diary of a Zen Nun" by Nan Shin (Nancy Amphoux) and publised in 1986. Although this book is now out of print, there are many copies to be found online. Nancy Amphoux is one of the two people who founded IZAUK, having followed Master Deshimaru for many years.

The IZAUK Logo and the silhouette of the monk in gassho on the gradient background are design elements by Heather Smith and Jay Clifton of the Brighton Zen Group.

Hosting

This website, the izauk listserv, and email services is being hosted at a reduced cost by The Interocitor, and its owner Joey Lindstrom, who gave his time and effort to configure things so they'd be just right.

Website Components

Thanks for the outsourced fundraising thermometer being offered free for use by Fundraiser Insight at http://www.fundraiserinsight.org

The Calendar of events is a heavily modified version of the Krafft ASP Calender originally programmed by Thomas W. Krafft.

The CSS based fly-out menu used was programmed dynamically, but based on reference tutorials posted by Stu Nicholls on the CssPlay site.
